I am curious what every-one else is planning to put in for a/c. Also,
for those that have already installed and been down there, what did
you install and are you happly with your choice? To me I am sure that
the 18000 single unit is enough, but wonder if it will make the temp
to cool in the living/dining room vs the bedrooms. I think 120000 in
each room is almost overkill. What are all of my 'peeps' in the

neighborhood thinking?

Ok...on the yahoo board there was some discussion about cement furniture. One of the things we've always thought was cool at the properties where we've stayed was the cement furniture. Where does one get cushions for the cement couches?? Or would I have to sew/make them myself?

Cheers to everyone from Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada. Does anyone have suggestions for window suppliers? My husband and I will be down May 30th to June 10th to set up our new pad. I now its mexico, but I wondered if anyone knew a company that might build sealed windows in a week once we got there and were able to take exact measurement of opening sizes. Also, security bars for the windows......any supplier suggestions?

I recently bought a house, and I have been involved in shipping from the U.S. to Cancun, since last year. One of the things which we do is buy vans, trucks, and trailers, and load them with used American merchandise, and send them to Laredo, and from Laredo to Cancun. The reason I started doing this is because

I needed restaurant supplies, and the cost of the same items in Mexico can be

VERY EXPENSIVE. (By the way, for those who have not previously

Hi all - I wanted to let you guys know the easy way out we are taking to purchase our furniture. When we were down in March we looked all over Playa and were none to happy with the prices and inconveniance.

Anyway we were lucky enough to meet Kim and Nicole of Pakat Interiors. They are right there in Playa and will organize everything - from furniture to all the accessories - with their design touches as well. Talk about easy - they will do all the leg work from delivery to ...

FYI everyone needs to be aware that in Mexico the price of AC ALWAYS flexes with supply and demand--as it gets hotter the price is always higher and the units are harder to find

Here is a quote from Claudia that was posted on the Yahoo group earlier this morning

Helloooooo A general question for Bill

I'm possibly interested in buying a package from Gringo Furniture which lead me to TIMELINE questions I need your input on.

I don’t want to put the cart before the horse SO….

I hear the homes usually take about a month to be cleaned after we are PAID IN FULL. If our order is included in the group order to Gringo Furniture by April 15 (Jen McDermitt advised the furniture takes about 4-8 wks thereafter to arrive) will our place be ready? ...
